Description |
|
House mice have an adult body length of 3-4
inches and a tail length of 2-4 inches. They
vary in color from white to black and have short
hair. Their droppings are blackish and have a
strong musty smell. They make high-pitched
squeaky sounds. They are the most common rodent
pests in most areas of the world and are
amazingly resilient. They breed rapidly
throughout the year and adapt to changing
conditions quickly. Although they prefer to live
indoors, they are also great outdoor survivors.
Although house mice don’t pose a direct threat
to humans, droplets of urine from house mice can
cause allergies in children. House mice also
attract lice, ticks, mites, and fleas, which
transmit various diseases. |

Biology/Habitat |
|
House mice usually live in close proximity
to humans, preferring houses and open fields
near residences. |
